Welcome aTOMic fans.
On January 25th 2014 I headed to one of my recommended Venues the fantastic Bonhams Barn in Alton to provide a variety of services for the lovely wedding of Chris & Jenny Lovett.
Chris and Jenny got married at a nearby church then headed to Bonhams to start the celebrations. I provided the background music in the afternoon while the happy couple and guests enjoyed canapes and drinks. Jenny had chosen some great musical choices for the afternoon, a lot of swing and some great chilled out music.
The afternoon took an unlikely turn when high winds for an hour or so almost caused the catering tent to fly away. With help of the male guests holding down the tent and reinforcements the food was saved. It was something a little different but looking back it was very funny and something that will make their wedding even more unforgettable.
Once everything was secured the speeches commenced and I provided a microphone for the Father of the bride. All speeches went down a storm and all heartfelt. Dinner then commenced and I provided the background music to add mood to the Barn, nice chilled songs that fitted perfectly.
The evening entertainment began with the Wannadies and the You & Me Song the couples first Dance choice. A great choice. Some waltz’s followed for older generation present and we then progressed through the decades to get the party going.
Jenny’s and Chris Pre-requests were mainly modern and 90’s indie and dance. With the majority of the guests being in their 30’s this went down a storm and we had a full dancefloor all night. Chris and Jenny left just after midnight to the sounds of Happy by Pharrell Williams.
I also provided Up-lighters which really made the barn look the part. A great day and evening and I wish Jenny and Chris many happy years together.
I have accompanied this blog with some fantastic photos from Damian Bailey, please check out his fantastic website at www.damianbailey.com
