May 2014

Welcome to latest aTOMic DJ Blog

May always seems to be a busy month and one that always seems to be booked up quickly. May 2014 is no different with some great weddings already this month and more to come.

I started the month in Haywards Heath for wedding of Hanya and Lee at the lovely Slaugham Place. It was my first visit to this venue and what venue it is. Stunning grounds and I provide some daytime outside music for the guests while drinks and canapes were consumed. As My speaker is battery powered it is perfect for all inside and outside venues.

The speeches then followed and I acted as Master of ceremonies which is always a great honour and something I really enjoy doing. Background music while the wedding breakfast was served was provided by myself  with some nice laid back tunes playing.

We then proceeded into the evening entertainment where it was time to get the dancefloor  going for the night ahead. It all started with Take Thats Rule the world as the couples first dance and then we covered all genres to make sure everyone at the wedding left happy. As Hanya is an ex cruise ship youth worker even few party dances  found themselves on the playlist.

Hanya booked Up-lighters to really bring the marquee to life and as you can see from picture below even two of her favourite tv stars made an appearance. A great day and I wish them many happy years together.

Last saturday I headed to the lovely village of Broughton for the wedding of Emma and Tom.

It was a great night and I provided a variety of music throughout the night to get whole place rocking.

One of nice ideas of groom was to play a clip from the radio recorded 6 years ago where the DJ Jo Whiley dedicated a song to the couple and explained how the couple had met the year before, this was a surprise for the Bride and was a great idea.

The night was a great success and it was lovely to receive the below testimonial from the mother of the bride two days after:

“Dear Tom

Just a note to say a huge thank you for all your hard (hot!) work Saturday evening – the music was fantastic which was obvious by the fact that the dance floor was absolutely full the WHOLE time!
We all had an absolute blast and your contribution to that is much appreciated. The Jo Wiley piece was the icing on the cake – what a brain wave of Toms!”

Got a celebration coming up get in touch so we can organise the best bespoke entertainment for your party.
